Homicide Investigation - N 65th St/Ames Ave

Omaha Police have arrested 25-year-old Daniel Atherton of Omaha in regards to this investigation.
Atherton has been charged with Second Degree Murder, two counts of Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Attempted Robbery.
Omaha Police are investigating a homicide. On Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 6:39pm, police responded to a shooting near 65th St & Ames Ave. A victim was located near 6510 Ames Ave and was transported to UNMC where they were pronounced deceased.
The victim was identified as 39 year-old Clinton Brownlee.
There are no outstanding suspects at this time. Investigation is ongoing.
