Parking and Transit Updates

Effective Monday, Oct. 3, the following changes will be made to campus shuttle service and electric vehicle charging stations on campus. For more information on all these changes and more, please visit our website.

Shuttle Changes

After reviewing ridership data, we will be reallocating shuttles from underutilized routes to better serve shuttle routes on campus with higher ridership demand. The goal of these changes is to hopefully lessen wait times for routes with higher ridership demand and to improve service on campus. We will continue to monitor ridership data after these changes are made and will adjust if necessary. As always, we appreciate your feedback in helping us make adjustments to better serve the ever-changing ridership needs of our campus.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations

We have determined after reviewing data that the revenue generated by electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on campus is not sustainable compared to the cost of running them. As a result, the rate to charge at EV charging stations on campus will increase. The new rate to charge will be $2 for the first 3 hours and $4 per hour after 3 hours. We have found that most drivers will charge their vehicles for between two to three hours on average, which is one of the factors that went into this new pricing. We hope that this change will make these stations more sustainable going forward.
