Date and Time: Thursday, October 27, 2022 (12:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (CDT)
Location:
The Salvation Army Kroc Center
2825 Y Street
Omaha, NE 68107 United States
Description:
The purpose of this session is to create moments and space for BIPOC folks and allies to “be.” To be present. To be connected. To be safe...to be known. Connectivity and community are common threads that link BIPOC folks to not just each other, but most importantly, to themselves. When navigating spaces where BIPOC folks are the minority, can oftentimes diminish core aspects of their identities and layered authenticity.
This session will help participants feel centered by redirecting and unlocking their purpose, passion, and people. Without those three key components, it is nearly impossible to excel and thrive in their workspaces and lives. Outcomes:
Participants will walk away:
•Feeling connected, empowered, and validated in their purpose and passion
•Knowing they matter, what their overarching purpose is, and how to leverage their community and relationships to catapult them into their future
•Equipped with tools to help them remain centered in their purpose and passion and walking away with new connections and relationships to support them.
