Rep. Don Bacon from Nebraska's 2nd District has shared his position following his affirmative vote on the recent budget bill. In a statement, Bacon highlighted his engagement with GOP leadership and key Committee Chairmen regarding potential Medicaid cuts.

"This past week, I have been discussing with GOP leadership and key Committee Chairmen my concerns about potential cuts to Medicaid and have been assured that the final bill will not affect the quality of healthcare covered by Medicaid," Bacon stated. He emphasized that reassurances were given about more moderate final numbers.

Bacon further noted, "We’ll have a chance to vote on these two more times to get it right." His support for the budget reconciliation stems from his desire to address various issues such as border security, energy production expansion, military improvements, and tax-cut extensions.
