In 1872, J. Sterling Morton proposed to the Nebraska Board of Agriculture that a special day be set aside for the planting of trees. Here we are 150 years later celebrating that day, Arbor Day, with 5th grade students from J. Sterling Morton Elementary School!
The kids did a wonderful job helping us plant 18 trees in Woodhaven Park. Continue the Celebration of Arbor Day and plant a tree!
