Description:
Teens are invited to join Omaha Public Library's Teen Advisory Board (OPL TAB). Earn volunteer hours while supporting and advocating for teens in the library.
What is TAB?
Members of TAB advocate, pilot programs, plan events, and give input. Teens advise OPL Staff on teen library idea, promote teen library services at their schools and to their circles of friends, and assist with year-round teen programming, with emphasis on the summer reading program and winter/spring break.
Who can participate in TAB?
Any Omaha area teen, ages 11-18, or in grades 6-12. Join us every month or attend when you can.
How do teens earn volunteer hours with TAB?
OPL TAB members can earn 1-5 volunteer hours per month by attending monthly TAB meetings, contributing to the monthly teen booklist recommendations, writing book reviews, and assisting with teen library programs.
Registration is required to attend the monthly OPL TAB meeting.
