Rep. Don Bacon honors Amanda Brewer for community contributions on Women's History Month

Rep. Don Bacon of Nebraska has recognized Amanda Brewer, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Omaha, by submitting her accomplishments into the Congressional Record during Women’s History Month. Brewer, known for her commitment to community service, transitioned from a corporate career to make a difference. Under her leadership, Habitat for Humanity Omaha became a top-ranked affiliate for family services in the United States.

An official copy of Brewer's recognition will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Habitat headquarters in Omaha. The location is 1229 Millwork Ave, Suite 301, Omaha, NE 68102. The event will include a reading of the speech by Rep. Bacon.

Each year, Rep. Bacon honors a woman from Nebraska's 2nd District for community contributions. Previous honorees include Carmen Tapio, Deborah Bowers Kippley, Carol McBride-Pirsch, Gina Ponce, Catherine Lang, Sherry Wright, Rose Ann Shannon, and Sara Woods.

This recognition of Amanda Brewer highlights her role as a visionary leader and community champion, contributing to the essence of Women’s History Month.
